Mobex Exhibitions wins contract with The Jockey Club

Mobex Exhibitions has recently been awarded a 3-year contract to supply The Jockey Club at Cheltenham Racecourse with a shopping mall shell scheme.

Allan Plant, Managing Director of Mobex Exhibitions, says “We have been increasing our presence in the indoor stand market over the past few years by providing quality cost effective solutions to clients, the client recommendation to The Jockey Club to provide them with something different to take their shopping stands to a more prestigious level in keeping with the quality of the event. Our aim was to give it a feel more suitable for Cheltenham Racecourse, the home of the Cheltenham Gold Cup.

We were able to provide bespoke build stands in various sizes and layouts, complete with printed fascia boards, lighting and electrical points. Different number of stands would be required from 8 to 64 dependent on the race meeting”

The initial timescale from award of the contract to first race meeting was only 4 weeks but Mobex Exhibitions designed, built and installed all the stands required on time and within budget.

Historically Mobex Exhibitions has been best known for providing exhibition trailers for both hire and build for clients and events across the UK and Ireland, but are now quickly establishing a solid stable of clients for internal exhibition stand design and build, making them an all-round provider of event solutions.

Carey Buckler, Regional Partnership Manager at Cheltenham Racecourse said ‘We have worked with Mobex Exhibitions over the last year to improve the shopping experience at Cheltenham Racecourse for both the Exhibitor and the racegoers. We are delighted with the results that Mobex Exhibitions have delivered, always in friendly and effective way.’

The #shoppingatcheltenham stands can be seen at all Cheltenham race meetings including The Cheltenham Festival taking place in March each year, where around 250,000 pass through the gates of the Gloucestershire course over the four days.
